A new publication just released by military mode publishing, Feldzug 1914 Vol 1, by Michael Baldwin.

Received my copy today and can highly recommend it. Fantastically detailed pictures of some rare and unusual imperial headgear.

I think many of us will look at this at SOS. Is it just head gear or is there some serious history with it?

It documents the authors imperial collection, predominantly pickelhaubes in this volume, with a number of tunics and items of cloth headgear also included.

Whats the latest on the book? Is this book worth having?

I think we have a couple differant postings going on this book on this website. I picked up this book at the SOS, pictures are very good, write ups good, if you want a book to look at nice helmets buy it.

As far as a referance book, I would say there are better.
