New here and need some help

Hello,

I came up to this helmet and want to know if it's a genuine one.
I'm especially doubting on the cockades.

It looks OK to me. The cockades have probably been repainted, at least the national. The form of the national one looks good; I don’t see this in repro’s. Hard to say on the state cockade without seeing it in person. The strap is either original, or one of the older repro’s.

Hard to say with those photos. We would need better photos of the cocades and also photos of the back.

I suspect both cockades aren't original. It appears that the visor trim has been re-sized due to shrinking of the leather. That squared end on the left side of the helmet along with the indentations as a result of crimping the brass to the leather is a giveaway.

I agree not sure if it's just me, but the photos are very small, and it won't let me enlarge them.

With these photo's it's very hard to give an accurate opinion.
