New member who collects Polizei Pickelhaubes

I'm new here but I have been told that this is possibly a police helmet. I haven't seen this wappen anywhere else and dating it has yielded mixed opinions... What do you all think? It is Prussian from Berlin…

Wappen reads:
UNIFORMIRTES PREUSSI-SCHES VETERANEN CORPES

BERLIN

(In the middle I was told is): FWR IV (I guess meaning Frederick Wilhelm IV Rex)

I don't think this is a Police helmet. Perhaps a uniformed veteran association? This is what the wording seems to indicate. Other members who are far smarter than I will hopefully chime in.

That’s what I thought too, but James on here seemed to think it might be police or fire. Didn’t make sense to me, but I’m new in this… Would still love to know more about and I can move it out of this thread if it doesn’t meet the bar.
 
Yes, and worn by members of an uniformed military funeral club. I wasn’t aware that extra clubs just for military funerals existed.

I stand corrected, I was going off of one of my Police books which has this helmet listed, but the AKO has spoken, continue to learn something new everyday.

A super clear photo of Police President von Jagow in full uniform. I see he has his Berlin Police helmet with the circa 1898-1918 period honorific Bandeau with the "1848-1898" dates and motto on his lap. I notice he is wearing high mounted boots (covering the knee) along with his Mounted Officer (Curiassier) sword. His awards are quite striking too.
