I will update my website soo when I receive the items.
Regrards,

The earlier Halstuch are very hard to find. Yours is an excellent example with all the markings that you would like to see. Many collectors out there who have uniforms are missing this important piece, which every soldier wore. Congratulations!

You are right Chip, the Halstuch are very hard to find. To be honest I have never before seen Halstuch in any collections.
I will soon update my site and add this new items.

I've got one too. Took me years to find and then it wasn't cheap either. It's ink marked to the 92.IR.

I rate it way up there with German issue towels. Another tough piece to find (and I'm not kidding!). :-$

What were they asking for them Gus? The Halsbinden are not rare by any means, but a necessary item for the serious feldgrau collector.

Very impressive Halstuch and Halsbinde. Congratulations. I have yet to find a Halstuch for sale.

Chip, the Halsbinden on AGM each went for $125. One had similarities to the one shown here in terms of ties. It was maker and 1915 date stamped and profusely marked with (Pommern) Bekleidungsamt and unit stamps (I.R. 5, I.B, 2.K., K.B.A.II, size 3). The other Halsbinde was made of a ribbed material and more off-white than Feldgrau in colour. It was unit marked, but I don't recall which. Maybe someone here snagged it.

Hans

Just a quick observation: Is Milosz' Halsbinde the earlier cavalry(?) version with smaller bib? The front side looks like it's made of wool, while the 1914 model wasn't, as far as I recall.

Hey Hans,
I got the off white one, it was $90. A bit steep for such a small bit of cloth, but these were the first I had seen for sale where I had a chance.

I am glad it found a good home, I did not get my catalogue until today, and the images with the AGM notice, had a photo of a Belgian tunic with Gomez belt, so I started at the wrong end of the catalogue.

Thanks for the info. I think I have about five of the Halsbinden, but I have not bought one in years. I was just curious as to what people were paying for them these days. Like everything else, more than I suspected. :o

Chip

Oh yeah, well I blame you, Chip. I paid $50 for a cammo band for a Mütze 5 years ago, and they show up quite often, so I bit the bullet and I suspwct that in 5 years it will seem like a bargine.

Gus,

Yes, I try to corner the market whenever I can.

When they first found that cache of Bavarian camo bands, they flooded the market. There were literally hundreds of them. Like anything else, it did not take too long for the opportunity to dry up, but there are a bunch out there.....somewhere. At one time, I had six or seven of them, as the price was cheap and I tend to squirrel things away for possible trade purposes.

So I suppose you can blame me, but not for driving prices up, as I rarely sell anything. :D
