I think its a fairly decent copy...

Agreed; however it is listed as a "RARE ORIGINAL".
This guy has been selling on Ebay for several years and there is ALWAYS a question or two concerning his "rare original" stuff.
He still manages to maintain a 99.2% positive rating.

Wouldn't look bad as a purely decorative piece. I deeply, forcefully and profoundly dislike the paper label though - that's where I draw the line between an honest replica and a deliberate fake.

Yes, its certainly been made to fool the unwary...

Very true. I looked up this guy's history on Ebay and he has sold some of his stuff (especially Tschapka's) for thousands.
When you carefully look at his items you can just tell that he has spent a great deal of time "antiquing" his stuff to sell as original.
The label is definitive proof.

It's odd that the seller can't just be honest. He could say, 'Well crafted and aged replica.' All I can say is that the fool is hoping to score big on it and rob somebody. Interesting how ebay allows this.

I'm sure eBay is unaware of individual cases of this kind of fraud. Can you imagine trying to police a site like that? Would you have "experts" on staff? They really rely solely on their guarantee/return policy, but if no complaint is make by the buyer, then the fraud inevitably passes unnoticed by all but the specialists on sites like these. Caveat Emptor!

Exactly. 99.2% of the people who buy his crap are completely satisfied with it.

The seller is a crook, pure and simple, good artist though if you want to buy some WW1 aeroplane canvass (caution wet paint)
