Not that i could afford to bid at present , just wondered what people thought. The sellers normally reliable imo
 
Nothing, I've ever seen documented. There has been a bunch of chainmail fantasy pieces come out of the UK over the years.
 
This is a protype fakes made in UK in the 70s. Note the description shell is original but did nor guarantee original of the other parts. Also rust and aging is not consistent.

This is the kind of thing that I would only consider real if I had dug it up myself, during one of my dozens of vacations in Verdun. There are SO many fakes, and SO much misplaced cretivity is used on them!
