Hello again collectors.
I am still trying to get a pass on correctly trying to identify a genuine pickelhaube.
I Came across this M1895 Pickelhaube! all with its brass fittings.
I notice the Baden cockade is wrong and should be a national state cockade.
After doing some lone research I can with only 90% confidence say that Infantry Regiment 55 was a prussian outfit so the plate does belong to this helmet,
The brass all looks like it holds the same aged patina.
Upon this occasion did I pass in trying to identify a genuine pickelhaube form 1895.
Thank you.

From what I see, the Kokarden are probably fake, and state is incorrect.
the metal bits look polished to me, and I think whatever polish was used was not properly cleaned from the Wappen.
Other than that, I do not see anything majorly wrong with the helmet, aside from the strange "pits" on the spike and base. I'd say for that price, it may be a decent piece. Please note however that this comes from a fellow beginner.

I also noticed the unusual pitting on the spike and the base. I suspect they may be relic items that were assembled post war. Other than that and the the Kokarden issue it looks OK.

As for the things you pointed out to be questionable yes you passed the test they where confimed in previous posts 👏👏🍾😅😅

Thanks a lot to all the members for there reply's and expertise given, It seems I have passed my provisional. I did notice (as Kaiser mentioned) the metal bits looked polished especially on the spike and base I had put this down to the cameras flash. Thanks Brian & Steve Nick also for the conformations on the Regt markings and pitting to the spike that went un noticed. Have a great weekend.

In post #7 above, I am talking about the helmet on eBay USA from seller ID "3littleweasels". The helmet is found here:

This helmet is one of the cleanest, problem-free M15 Prussian enlisted pattern pickelhaubes I have seen on eBay USA for quite some time.
