November 11, 1918. The Armistice of Compiegne. The First World War, which lasted four years and three months, ended. Almost 10 million people died in its fire, about 20 million were injured.

My great-grandfather was wounded during this war.. He died in 1919 from injury and illness. My grandmother became an orphan. She became very poor. She needed money. She went to work as a maid. She didn't have a childhood. Other people suffered more. All gave some - some gave all.
Let's remember all the victims of the First World Massacre of peoples.
Ich hatt' einen Kameraden, Einen bessern findst du nit...

Well how do you do private Willie McBride
Do you mind if I sit here down by your graveside
And rest for a while in the warm summer sun
I've been walking all day and I'm nearly done
And I see by your gravestone you were only 19
When you joined the great fallen in 1916
Well I hope you died quick and I hope you died clean
Or Willie McBride was it slow and obscene?....
