Picture showing Oberst Christoph v. Ebbinghaus (1856-1927), commander of Infanterie-Regiment „Kaiser Friedrich, König von Preußen“ (7. Württembergisches) Nr. 125 during WWI.
Records of the regiment mention that the total losses were 3,949 killed and 9,017 wounded during WWI. These records include him as being wounded on his hand, Sep 1914. This can be seen in different images I've seen from him.
Now, me and a friend are trying to colorize this picture, which is getting along nicely, however, the medals/ribbons are a problem.
The medals seem to be: The Prussians EK1 and EK2, the Military Merit Order (yellow ribbon) and the Order of the Crown, both from the Württemberg Kingdom. Objections?
The ribbons are harder. The left most one is probably the Friedrich Order, the right most is probably the Long Service Medal. Objections?
The other ones in the center... does anyone know?
