Shouldn't it be a Kuerassier style spike? If so, it's an interesting adaptation. Any thoughts?

So there! I was more interested in the odd spike than the rest of the helmet, so I didn't look that closely. Often, there are odd or rare varieties / modifications / manufacture that I don't know about.
