Yes- I had the same thought. He did send some more pics- they did not help much. The interior behind the plate has no extra holes and the screws, nuts and washers look good. The liner looks right ( although in bad shape) there is felt behind officer style leather band, correct? I don't know. Hard to make out any other detail such as leather front visor or velvet under tail.

I do not get your point here. Unless it is in black finish a JzP officer helmet is, except for the plate, identical to a Kurassier officer helmet. How can you tell this is a Kurassier helmet with a JzP plate??
Apart from that condition is not great and the liner is wrecked...

Hello,
I do not think, these helmets are identical.
There are some differences, Meldereiter and JzP halmets have a squarer (eckiger) shape.
The rivets seem to be very big, as we can see on the copys.
But I am not an expert.

The profile of this helmet looks more like a 1880 than a "1907" as seller states. I'm not sure when they started making JzP officer helms but I believe It was later than the earlier style officer Kurassier helms. JzP's seem to have the more modern skull shape/sharp edge look. I use Kube and Herrmann as a ref. I'm no expert just noticing.

i know it is over ,what is the little hole above the left side visor ? Is the pierced cross vent normal .just curiuos as i am not used to seeing Officer's Jzpfd or Kurassier.
thanks
Mark
