Dear Friends
I would like to share this 1915 Officer spiked helmet for Train Btn.
Bought two years ago from a French friend the helmet is still equipped with its original field cover. During these very long years the cover has stuck to the back of the helmet and now it cannot be detached except at the risk of damaging the helmet.
The body of the helmet is in vulcanized fiber, please note the poor quality war production of eagle and convex chinscales.
In my opinion an interesting helmet.

Very nice indeed, unusual backing on the visors, my V fibre has the usual red and green. Is this a Dephag helme?
 
Nice war-time helmet with an amazingly good interior.

Too bad the Uberzug welded itself to the shell. Nice example of the reduced war related quality of materials eg. the wappen detail and the gilt washed rosettes.
