Officer pickelhaube 92Rgt Brunswick

Ok I Have several Brunswick helmets I own and everyone of my helmets came from reputable dealers Like walter Harman. Some came from France and The one everyone says is bad came from a Vet who had it in his house until he died, The estate sale contact a dealer who Bought it I bought it from him, Everything about the helmet checks out perfect including the kokade except the TK that doesn't make any sense to me and if it was replaced by the vet whare did he get it no extra holes in helmet or the mounts section. He would have never ever had found the rest of the helmet, except we think it to be fake because its hard to see the pebbling and when its super blown up it looks way different than in person. Im not saying its not possibly a fake TK but makes no sense to me

With all due respect a story is a story is a story. The “vet obtained” story is the classic one and one used to shill fake SS helmets by a -very- famous helmet author and reputable (ahem) dealer. I can get into a whole lot of detail on that subject.

All one can do is judge what is presented in front of us and the TK is a known copy. I’ve presented details as to why (eyes, nasal cavity, etc) as has Tony (pebbling).

So I don’t think it’s a fake, I know it’s a fake, for multiple reasons. Sorry but that is the harsh reality from where I sit, as inconvenient as it may be.

I thought you said earlier that it was for sale but now you say you have owned it for some time?

I owned helmet over 20 years along with many more I my as well keep it Im sure everything about is a fake even the kokade. I will just add this to it I sure hope you dont think its fake

I never said anything about it being for sale earlier. I was asked to sell the TK that is all because one member said he couldnt afford the real deal

The early skull on the left side doesn't show a lot of pebbling I hope you don't think its bad it came from Walter Heartman collection years ago. I bought it from a well known dealer. His name isn't important but let's here some thoughts on these ones?

Sorry but yes this is a fake as well in my opinion.

The skull on the officers IR92 looks like it’s trying to be an oversized copy of the Panzer collar tab skull of WW2 Panzertruppe of the Wehrmacht. The running horse motif is rife with pebbling and appears to be a bad cast fake. The Mannschaften skull lacks the fine detail seen in originals but to be fair I will refrain from making an opinion one way or the other on it. Tony will know. If you want a thumb up or down on a TK, Tony is your man. I would seek out his opinion or look at his one looker originals on Kaisers Bunker.

Sorry I thought you wanted an opinion originally as it was offered to you. Never nice to hear when you have something bad that you’ve thought was good for a long time.

I have authenticated many an SS helmet and had a fellow from Germany who also bought from a sole source “reputable” dealer. He had nearly 20 SS helmets worth a small fortune. Sadly they were all fake. His “reputable dealer” disappeared when confronted and he was stuck with 6 figures of bad fakes. This can be a very humbling and nasty hobby and we’ve all been there, but you’ve come to the right place for knowledge!

Hi I no that is a Walter Heartman item from a friend's collection, But besides that, what about that TK skull I posted on the red Velvet what's your Opinion on that? plus the other 2 helmets?

Heres another one I took a picture of a site that was guaranteed 100% Original and sold at auction. Look at the script same as mine maybe not even as good. It comes back to a good question whare did the rest of the helmet come from? The corect front plate? the corect Kocade? I just cant think that they are all bad on first judgement, They had different makers

Hi and as far as the other helmets The running horse EM is all RJ marked so that good for sure and the last one is also good known in a reference book, and last but not least that TK on Red Felt is a Walter Heartman item with Paper work just to let you all know, I hardly think these are all as bad as speculated but would like to here more Opinions, Thanks

Hi Gary
No offence here. It seems to me that you are hoping to hear positive remarks about your items.
Actually, as long as u r happy with it, just let it me.
No matter how advance a collection is, there will be one or few items that may miss expert eyes.
Just be happy if you have already made up your conclusions.
Happy collecting
Regards
Amy bellars

Thank you Amy for your understanding on some issues I have a lot of other great helmets also, but these are my rare ones I have I know in fact if I revealed who I bought them from things would change on Opinions but no need for that. It's not what I have to prove that their good I know the one might be questionable on the TK but I put another Good TK on the forum and there were no comments on it at all. I own 5 Brunswick Helmets, and some people are lucky to only own one if they get a chance, I'm not Bragging about my Helmets but was just sharing them with the group. I was hoping to hear more positive on what is good. It almost seems like I have to defend my items as if they are junk. Im new on the forum and this isn't how I was expecting things to go. I hope to here more back on them, Thanks

You asked for an opinion and when one is given all you do is talk about the reputable dealers you buy from, guarantees and Walter Heartman whoever he is. The only opinions you want are those that align with your opinion and for that reason I am out. I would strongly advise you speak with Tony one of the foremost TK experts on the planet. Enjoy your collecting.

This was my first Brunswick Helmet I bought and it is 100% Original look at these great RJ Markings 3rd Battalion is correct for brunswick just to let you aware of that, Let me know what you think?
