One more, this time my Wurttemberg OYV:
I am posting this to show a private purchase officer liner with unlined visors and you can vaguely see that there were 2 initials in gold on the right side half of the liner. I have posted pics of this helme before. The wappen is officer, the round spike base has domed brads with no pearl ring and you can see the M91s with flat infantry scales. Brian

Mine is burgundy red......Ive never seen this in any other examples.....why is it?

Here is an interesting liner from my Prussian officer's 1or 3 Guard Uhlan tschapka. The fingers are made like a pre-1880 liner, but made with the light calve skin of the later sweatbands. I have only seen this in one other helmet; a Saxon Guard Reiter officer's helmet a friend once had.
