Difficult to say about the spike, but I don't like the retainers, when there are washer marks on the dome support. Anyway, I don't really got a good feeling about this helmet, although I can't really put my finger on it. Maybe it is a repro spike, one of the better ones no doubt. Who knows, it might be 100% okay. I'm sure we'll get more comments.

I don´t like the spine on this helmet because it reminds me of one of my former fake haubes, which had a similar spine. No guarantee I know, but this seller usually has good stuff (I've done business with this bloke in the past).

I didn't notice that! Yeah, pretty bad. Also, it looks like enlisted cockades. Even the best dealers sometimes get in oddball helmets that they thing might be good.... and might be (??????)

I agree with Edwin that this seller is honest and normally sells genuine stuff. I bought some helmets from him over the last couple of years at the Ciney Militaria, 100% ok!

So, Marcel, you think this particular helmet looks good? If so, you may be right, but I don't have a good feeling about it... and that's no reflection on the seller.
Actually, it doesn't matter a bit what I think, since I'm not bidding on this one.

You're right on both counts. Maybe using a full flash makes it look like less than it is? I dunno. If I were looking for this type of helemt, I probably would not have bid. Who knows. Hopefully, somebody got a nice helmet for a good price!
