The M91 OR's kokade from Oldenburg JR 91. This regiment was created in 1813 and was part of X Army Korps.

A darker blue here obviously. This is common among kokarden produced by different manufacturers for the same regiments.

The color is much lighter than those pictured above, but it matches the Schirmmütze Kokarde perfectly:

Many color variations existed with Kokarden from different states. In the case of Oldenburg the color variations ranged from a very light blue to almost black.

Hello,

DR19 Pickelhaube, date of issue: 1899. Worn by a Vizewachtmeister or Wachtmeister (Portepee Unteroffiziere).

The round cardboard pieces at the back of cokades have been period removed to allow a better sliding of the heavy chinscales without pressing to much on the side posts. Often seen on cavalry helmets.

Thanks for these posts gentlemen, the more comparison examples, the better. It seems we really do have two shades of blue being used on Oldenburg kokarden.
