pickelhauben

Things are not getting better so I have another one up for sale.
A OYV or Sergeant's Oldenburg pickelhaube.
It has 91 posts with screw stud rivets.
Off style front and rear spine . The rear spine has a couple of dents in it right at the curve.
NCO style non removable spike .
Flat chinscales with one rivet missing on the left side.
Green Off style liner is complete and a little dirty with the rear leather split at the join. Well worn.
Eagle and wappen are original in the EM style
The Reich cocarde is original and the Oldenburg is questionable.
I was going to clean it up polish and smooth the leather out but most guys want them salty out of the wood work.
I will say that the helmet is in VG- condition but looks great on the shelf.
When was the last time you have seen an Oldenburg OYV for sale.
There are a few Oldeburg helmets for sale on one of the big time German dealers ranging from an EM @ $1650 to Off @ $5500
So I am offering this helm for $1,600 OBO plus shipping.
