I have been made aware of a problem that some buyers are having with members selling here on the forum. The issue occurs when a seller receives a contact stating "I want to buy this or I am interested" and the seller stalls on the deal hoping to receive a higher offer or they accept the deal and then back out when more cash is offered by someone else. This practice creates frustration and anger so here is our rule which is also used on other forums:
The first person to respond to the sales post has priority, with others following in the order of their message. This avoids any discussion or doubt about whether someone actually responded previously/before. I would also like to point out here, that this rule also involves honesty and reputation. We have a small collector community and if a seller gets a reputation for playing games because of "money" and the "word" will spread amongst collectors. Personally, I value my collector reputation above all else. I have actually seen this in action with A of K. A buyer got his money back years after the helmet was purchased.
