Hello,
I am no expert on these so what do you guys think of this.

IMO ; The seller is very honest .He is selling his fathers collection .He has been selling at the S O S .
The H R does not have the correct banner above the Totenkopft . We see this a lot . I was told by an
advanced collector in Europe that right after WW I Totenkopft were added to line regiment H R to make
them more attractive to buyers . The Totenkopft has sure been on the helmet for many years as we can see .
To find a 100 % correct 1 L H R 1 or 2 L H R 2 can take years .Tony S. looked for years and he finally found one .
The screws that hold the chin straps are not correct . I would ask the seller what the stamp above the 1915 date is .
To me it looks like H 9. All the parts seem correct .If you know Tony S. I would ask him about the Totenkopft .He is the expert on skulls .If you can live with an example that is not 100 % correct , then O K .It would make you a display if the price is within
what you are willing to pay .Steve McFarland
