As an absolute beginner on the Pickelhaubes I would like your expert opinions on this one. Some say it's a parts helmet, other say it's original. Hope you can clarify on this expert forum. What units used these?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Yes, we've noticed a few oddities.

--A non-regulation "Eigentum" helmet, privately purchased.

--Officer-style fittings and cockades, without the command stars; it could be a Fähnrich or Fahnenjuncker.

--Spirit helmet of the Foot Guard (flat scales), made of nickel silver (silver), including the rivets and scales, therefore 1st Foot Guard Regiment (if original).

Some anomalies:
---The yellow-gold color of the spike and the guard star.

--The "troop" Teller has large holes for wide folding rivet tabs, which don't correspond to either the stars (and nuts) or the present, overly thin tabs.
