Opinions please on this helmet.

Well, about this helmet......
Last week I had contact with the seller, I could pick it up late at night. So I said okay, I will meet you and we can have the deal struck.
20 minutes later I got the message in the mail the seller had to go abroad at once for his work. He'd be home in 4 day's. No problem, mail me later.
Then, when he got back he told me to meet him at his house again, this evening, at 10pm. So I said ok, I'll be there, it is quite late and I don't usually leave the house at 10pm, because I have to work, but for this helmet I make exeptions.
But then I got a mail again the seller told me he had to leave for work on a plane again, so he would not be there. AGAIN.

So guy's. I think this beautiful helmet is really not his property, and regretfully it will not be mine.
So much for honesty on the net, but I will keep you posted. It might turn out good in the end, but this makes me sick.
I never had this difficulties while dealing on the net.

Keep you posted on this!

Greetings, Coert. :x

Think he is holding you on a leash
Or maybe he didnt want to sell it so he is blowing you off
Would give him the benifit of the doubt

Thanks Jonas,

But I think I'm being fooled. The seller removed his ad after we agreed on the price,
and after 2 times telling me he had to go on a plane abroad, I told him yesterday I would wait again for him to return.
He told me yesterday he had to be on that plane at 22:00, but what do I see this morning when I looked at the vending-site?

Indeed, the same helmet advertised again!! And the ad was placed at 23:15, when the guy was supposed to be on a plane...
I again placed a bid on it, the same price we agreed upon. But I do not think he will contact me again about it.

Shame you have the same thing going on like me, but fortunately I did not pay in advance like you. Parcels always have track and trace numbers, so I hope you will be able to get your money back or the helmet in the post..

People like these should be shot at dawn. :x

Greetings, Coert :(

I dunno. This seems very odd to me. Is there somebody you know, like an antiques shop owner, who could act as an intermediary to receive and pay for the helmet if it ever does come to actually buying it (you'd give them the money to hold for you)? This whole thing makes all kinds of red flags go off in my mind.

Do not play his game, any honest seller would have completed the sale by now. There are some very weird people in this world who gain satisfaction from screwing with other people’s minds. Take this experience as a lesson in life and walk away, there will be other good helmets in your future. Be thankful that this did not cost you 900 Euro. He was probably hoping to sell to someone who was not close enough to pick up the helmet and thus rip them off. There might not even be a helmet, just pics scammed from the internet. :x

I also agree with Brian, it seemed not worth any reaction from me in any way.
But remember I told you guys I placed a bid on his new advert? I got a reaction on it, saying he was sorry, plenty of excuses, because he was working for a business off-shore.. And that he was home now, this evening.

So I could pick up the helmet and finish the deal with him. But again late at night, so I mailed him, asking if it could be earlier, because I went to work at 5am. I got a mail back, told me it was OK if I arrived earlier.... Sent me his adress, phone-number,(which I checked, because I phoned him, and said sorry, I dialed the wrong number sir..he doesn't have my phone-number, hahaha).
All I wanted to do was extract as much info on him, so I could get him blocked from the vending-site I use, I really hate guy's like these.
Then again, I cannot see in his life.

I will keep you all posted on this, it seems good now. But we'll see.

Greetings, Coert.

I just arrived back home from the sellers house.

Veni vidi vici. It was worth the trip, the guy was your typical young guy, just bought his house and living together.
And making long and irregular hours, to pay for it all.
So after all it worked out great.
I am admiring my new Haube now, it looks great! Spike-top does unscrew, I looked for any marking but there are none found.

Tommorrow I wil be posting pic's of it in the haube section, it is pitchdark now..
All's well that ends well, I am happy I kept in touch with the guy.

Have a nice evening all!

Greetings, Coert :D

Hahaha , after all the frustration and despair it all worked out well . The guy probably felt all the hate emanating from the website , I really felt for you . Now i'm just jealous :?
