Ottoman(?) sword , Julius Voos, Solingen

This Turkish sword came my way at an antique show yesterday. It appears to be based on an Austrian pattern and was made by "Julius Voos Fabrique D'Armes Solingen". Both sides of the plated blade are etched with stands of arms surmounted by a crescent moon & star. Any info or comments on this odd bird would be appreciated. Here are some pics.
