Ottoman vs. Turkish Swords

This one is for the Blankwaffen fans out there:
Any tips on how to make Turkish Ottoman (German made) officer swords from their post-Ottoman (> 1923) Empire Turkish counterparts?
It is sometimes hard enough to tell Imperial from Reichswehr or even Wehrmacht private purchase models, let alone the Turkish variants...
Any clues?

Many thanks for the thorough description and welcome to the forum!

I recently saw a Turkish Navy (anchors everywhere) 'P'-sword which is quite close to the German Imperial Navy Lion-Head sword. It has the five-star pointing 1 tip NORTH and 'VAHRAM TAGIRIAN CONSTANTINOPLE' as a maker on the spine & etching quite similar to that of the Regimentals specimen.
Its scabbard is made of acombination of leather with etched metal matching the sword... Enough to conclude it is Ottoman?

Thanks for refreshing my memory on such a fascinating era.
I had forgotten where I saw that sword as there are so many militaria sites on the net nowadays, not to forget eBay.
A good thing for my wallet I'm strictly focussing on German WW1/Wartime items for use by the German Military.
Twice the reason not to venture into this sword (non-German, non-WW1) as sticking to German WW1 items is already expensive enough nowadays!
