Hello
I have observed on Guard star two different pattern in the two striated rings surrounding the Suum Cuique banderole.
The most common (type 1) the ring turn to the right side
the type 2 turn to the left side
This was observed comparing 7 stars: six was type 1 one type 2 (this appear to be the rarest)
Have you ever seen this point ??
Regards

Hello Bernard: I have 8 issue helmets with guard stars. All of mine are of the type 1 style as indicated in your photograph.

Bernard,

I have 10 Garde eagle Wappen that are your "Type One" and I have three that are your "Type Two"; one issued M1895 in brass, one M1915 in steel, and one Private Purchase "Extra" pattern. T

Bernard: I found a private purchase front plate with type 2 guard star in my broken parts box. Note: This is not an M15 star, it is a private purchase star from which all the silver wash has been lost.
