We finally made it to Kentucky for the big showin spite of the crappy navigation help from James when he directed us into the worst storm of the century, I made one of the first buys of the show.

We had some bad roads but some were rather goos like this one.

Congrats Gus; would fit your Ambulance perfectly thus allowing the 'enemy' to fire upon you since you'd be technically breeching the Geneva convention... :D

Are thise the famous pre SOS deals that are made in the hotel rooms even before the fair started...??.... (lol!!)

Yes it is one of those, it is a terrible thing to have on, there is no wonder they were not popular.

Matt stopped by with his new acqusition, he wanted me to photo shop some hair on him, but it does not show in this photos.

I forgot to post a photo of a billboard we passed on the way through Wyomeing, at highway speed, it looks like two Pickelhauben, but on closer look, they are American spikes.

James made severla purchases but is too shy to show them off.

Janet took photos but her new fangled camera deleted them, at least I have proof that she did try.

I am having difficulty getting things to post as my computer keeps crapping on me, hopefully I can get a few more up soon.

We start back home today. I wish all of us could be there. We have pics but no way to post them till later.

This was the best SOS of the three I have attended. Lots of WW1/Imperial stuff. Thanks to all the members who attended. You all are always alot of help. =D>

I had a great show. While I didn't really have one killer buy, I'm happy with the new acquisitions. I'll post photos soon.

But I want to publicly state that I owe Gus $5 for a book he sold me. I didn't know if I owned it and Gus said, "pay me $5 if you need it, or donate it if you already own it." I didn't have it, or if I did it is misfiled in my library. So I owe Gus $5 next year. :-"

Just got home, picked up 4 Pickelhauben. Most I have ever spent at a show, but got some High end helmets. Will post photo's later.

James

Good God Gus....you call that a storm??? You can still see 100m down the road, you can even see the side of the road AND yer drivin on bare pavement! You come north boy and I'll show you where the real storms are!! I'll introduce ya to a some cool things called "white knuckle drivin", "the whiteout" and "black ice" ha ha! Good pics of the SOS though. Love those "red shirts"...some sort of new Italian influence perhaps?? Lovely ladies!! Ciao bambini!

Got home last night. Trying to catch up. However, by his own admission James owes me $50. Now I really didn't want to bring this up but he made such a big thing out of me having to borrow one dollar to give to customer as change. I just wanted the truth to come out. Gus is my witness. The way I see it given the debt, tax, dealer prep, license, interest, and handling fees. He already owes me now something closer to $10 million. So I figure that I have a lien on his new helmets. And I am willing to accept JR 87 officer's helmet as a direct trade to clear up this unfortunate matter.

I have to ask too... what was up with the red shirts? Not a Star Trek thing I'm sure, so was it the Garibaldi thing? You know I get nervous by groups all wearing the same colored shirt - nothing typicall good happens (maybe Garibaldi excluded). The black shirts, the brown shirts, the silver shirts and let's not forget those ACORN blue shirts! So I guess if you had to wear the same shirts I guess red isn't a bad choice. :-"
