Back to the 70's, when I lived in Germany, it have on TV a kind of soap opera " Charm und Melone" it was an English soap opera. Who knows...?!?!?!

I believe this is the remains of a Postman's hat from the Imperial times. It is missing the posthorn, and some other things. Remember, this was a time when even the postman carried a sword.

I watched "Schirm, Charm und Melone" on German TV in the Seventies as well (the English title was "The Avengers"). That was back in the days of "Dali, Dali" and "Spiel ohne Grenzen."
