pickelhaube desire

Hi everyone:

I have recently decided that my new pickelhaube desire is for a model 1842. Has anyone come across one that is intact, and does anyone know where I could purchase one? What do these things go for?

You‘ve chosen a rare but cool pickelhauben model But after such a long time and ww2 it‘s not easy to find these helmets in good condition. There is a very good example for sale on ebay, but it’s also very expensive. You can find more examples of the M1842 at online military history auctions. However, you should keep in mind that these helmets aren’t cheap. I think the prices start at 2000€, probably more.
