I recently found this helmet, I am pretty sure it is a fake, the quality and detail isn't what i would expect. however I am by no means expert in this area and was wondering if wiser forum members might pass comment?

Yes, total fake, probably made in India then sprayed with some sort of acidic chemical to darken everything and make it look old. You can see the drips on the shell of the helmet. Bogus with a capital B or....Krap with a capital K !

If you knew where the Indians bury these things to age them, the last thing you would do is use it for an ice bucket :-P

I wouldn't even touch it.

Well if that's the case, we could ship some to political conventions for that purpose. After all, politicians spew it, they might as well eat it. :wink:
