I was thinking, now that I own 9 (N*I*N*E) PICKELHAUBES, does that make me a BIG Collector (Herrn Kollektor)?? :P

Absolutely. Nine is more than most people could dream of having. Way to go! However, would you describe yourself as the "biggest Pickelhaube collection in Quebéc?" No. And that is my point; people who brag, typically cannot back it up.

Oh yeah? Well, I was the BEST tank gunner in our unit one year.... best of six! :P And yes, RON, N-I-N-E is a good number! I remember when I wanted 'one' for my collection. Darned addictions. \:D/

Well there's a very big chance I might be the biggest Pickelhaube collector in Lebanon :D
I've seen some WW2 stuff--mainly German or US--but nothing with spikes thus far!
Otherwise, I'm gonna have to find me some remote area back in the Great White North (maybe around Nunavut) and crown myself Pickelhauben King there!

You know...I collected mainly WW1 American. Then I found this site, so maybe one or two pickelhaube.....just for conversation pieces. 14 spiked helmets later, Gus starts showing his ordinance, so what can a couple of grenades hurt? My wife blames you guys :D

Funny thing is, a local collector started a 'WWII museum' with fewer artifacts than I have in my collection... maybe I should do the same and charge tuppence a visit. I'm certain I've the largest collection in a two mile radius of my home and probably in the county, because I've been bugging neighbors for years, in case they have something in the attic (or barn). Actually, that might not be a bad idea, put up a pole shed, some display cases, my M37 Dodge, M7 half track, helmets, uniforms, a space heater, maybe a Dachshund and start the public display... who knows what'll be donated!? =D> \:D/
