What helmet plate would be on a pickelhaube from SACHSEN-ALTENBURG? Here are a couple pics of my good friend and WW2 uboot vet Edgar's father from pre WW1. On his shoulderstrap is the number 16. Also what rank is he in the picture? Any info will be greatly appreciated and pictures of the helmet plate would be a bonus. I do know that Edgar's father had a private purchase pickelhaube according to Edgar. Sadly it was destroyed by bombing during WW2........ Again Thank you in advance...... Harold
