I remember both of those eagle toppers from German ebay a few years back. They might even be the same pictures. They were both there for a long time due to the very high price they were set at.

I'm more of a private collector but I thought I would share my recent experience. I purchased a very rare and beautiful Helmet from our fellow member brusik1 which you can see it all the way at the bottom on the right of his collection pictures. (now marked sold with a red X)

It's an enlisted Men's Jaeger-zu-Pferde Nr.8 of Galvanized Tin, it has been discussed and show here sometime back in a thread on these helmets. It arrived in perfect condition and was well packed as well as being shipped the day he received payment.

I also just a few days ago made a deal for another beautifully conditioned helmet from his fine collection. Which was also quickly shipped and is on its way when it arrives, I will be sure to mention that one as well. He's a real pleasure to deal with.

I'm looking forward to enjoying them for hopefully many years to come.

Where do you live? I live in Lorraine (formerly Reichsland) and I can also travel and pay in cash. As far as Paypal is concerned, you should know that if the buyer buys ‘between friends’, there is no insurance in case of loss, theft or fraud of the parcel. On the other hand, if you buy with expenses, there is insurance up to the declared value. It's still an interesting guarantee.
