Awesome - thanks Coert! Would be fascinating to find one of the piggybank-haubes.
I used to have the same poster in my academic office in our History dept. when I taught. It's a great piece of graphic art from the period.
Jeff, I do have a Tschapka that at some point was turned into a piggy bank. A clean slit was cut at the top of the mortarboard. Later, someone was probably shocked by such a lack of respect and managed to fill the hole and hide the trace of that monetary episode in the life of the hat... job very well done, but you still clearly see the scar.
