Pioneer Wurt-- Not Really

This is up for sale .

Looks like a steel with paint removed.

Still collectable but no Pioneer.

Cockades are a questionable, one is Prussian and the other is just black, and the rear spine is missing the screw.
 
I believe that this is definitely an M15 helmet with gray metal fittings that have been completely cleaned of paint, but I also believe that it could still be a Pioneer helmet. Pioneer had to meet the 1915 regulations just like the infantry, so they would have worn a gray metal helmet. Is it marked to a Pioneer unit?

I don't see any markings. Probably a war bond helmet.

You are probably right. It's likely a war bond helmet. Pioneer or not it sold for too much as "over cleaned" as it is.
