Sorry, Cannot remember is name, I bought a bunch of kokarden from him, and Brian I think bought a wappen or two...

We both went back the next day to buy more and he was gone, only there one day...

Yes, I bought one of the M15 Ulan wappen for my collection but no Jaeger because I have many examples. The guy was just a small one table dealer and only there for one day and he had lucked out somehow with this pile of New Old Stock. The big dealers have banners, signs and stacks of biz cards, not this dude. Even we did not have our banner up above our tables. There are 2K tables at the show, it takes 2 days to cruise all of the isles and even then you miss something like this and get clued into where it is at. One thing which the SOS pic shows is that the Germans had done away with the Garde star on the Ulan wappen at some point.

Are those Wappen original? I assume so if Brian bought one, but they look new with dull grey paint (the grey Wappen I have that I'm sure of have a slight gloss to them). I'm asking because I have a new-looking Wappen with dull grey paint myself, and have always thought it is a repro.

these where all good, found in a foot locker of a Vet from WWI that brought back tons of helmet parts among other things.

These probably came from the same doughboy trunk estate auction that had 150 Kokardes, and I bought 53 of them the first part of February 2019. The seller is probably from Pennsylvania, and I think I've seen several of these Jaeger Shako eagles that he's sold on eBay in the past year.

There were several of these Uhlan eagles, and even more of the Jaeger shako eagles on the auction, and I didn't win any of these front plate eagles.

I can try to contact him via eBay to see if it is the correct person or not. All I can do is try.

Best Wishes,

Alan

James and Brian both told me about his table and when I finally got around to go to find him he was gone......
