Poloce or firemans helmet

A freind found this helmet and he is wanting to know about it. I am thinking a police helmet from Hannover??? What would be the vaiue of it?

I have no idea. I just took a WAG at it. I am hopeing one of the more nolagable peaple here will be able to tell me about it..At some point I might get a chance to buy or trade for it.

Joe is right I beleive it is Stuttgart.

I have always seen this helmet listed as Firemans....

it is the officers version.

Last one I saw sold in the $1000 range

Sorry to to throw a spanner into the works..

Stuttgart would have a yellow field and should not show a Prussian Eagle. I would rather think that it resembles Westfalen which was a province of Prussia.

Yep fire officers helme. I have one with that wappen and green shield with wavy silver line running diagonal accross the shield. I was told that this meant that it came from the Rhineland. Silver trim on rear visor?? Brian
