True, and maybe we can get Mowe to do a thread on the colonial haubes, but I was not aware of any before the mid-18 90s. So this is really exciting. I also was not aware of any early shellacing so the learning ears are on.The precedent was set for Filz helmets long before the 1914 panic to equip the mobilized Army.
