I have some vintage photos of the flags being trooped in parades.I wonder what these flags would’ve looked like in action, it must’ve been a magnificent sight.
The sad story is that a great reference book was to have been publishedI have some vintage photos of the flags being trooped in parades.
I will try to locate them and post a couple of them
of course, the problem is that are not in color

It's sad to hear and such a pity...The sad story is that a great reference book was to have been published
about Imperial German flags. The person who was to do it was very serious
and had done high quality books on I G Military before
I can tell you based on the couple of books done by this publisher that I ownIt's sad to hear and such a pity...
I think to publish those photographs in some way is also a good idea if not the books. They can be great references for future collectors.
The XI Armee Korp had a lot of red flagsWow, that’s an amazing photo! Now we just need someone to digitally colorize it!

He came to my house with a professional photographer and the back end
of his Explorer loaded with equipment
They set up for 3 and 1/2 days and took at least 500 photos
This included parade banners and streamers ; pole tops unit rings and flags.
He also flew to Germany and got photos of private collections
I did 100's of scans for him of flag prints and photos.
Time went by , and nothing happened.
Sadly, the publisher lost his memory and desire to do the book
fell by the wayside. So it will never be done .

Sad to say that the person who was going to do the bookSteve,
There is a real interest in this subject, and I think it would make a GREAT BOOK. With all the photos of original items it seems like it would be a winner. Are you still in contact with the person who did the research? There has to be a publisher who would love to get this into print. John Josef
