Howdy all! Hope everyone is well!

It is with great excitement to say that with the help of DougB from the forum, I finally have that postman’s cap I’ve been wanting for so long!

Have a look!

I absolutely love German postal history so I’m so incredibly happy to add this piece to my collection!

Once again, thank you so much to my friend DougB, can’t express how grateful I am for his help!

All the best,

Dane Jensen

A nice time capsule.

One one more or two more free spaces left...choose wisely! Or just get another cabinet! LoL

Currently, I’m looking for a JzP and m15 tschapka. They don’t gotta be perfect, but in decent shape with major components. I.E, Wappen, spike/mortarboard and lugs.

I hope to find them some day but they are just far to expensive for a 19 year old 😂

I’m looking for them in the $800 range,

Looks great Dane and the display does as well! Happy to help out!

That's a good looking cap. It's in pristine condition and looks good in the display cabinet.
Aye, she’s even better than what I thought she’d be. Everything on her is in great shape, there’s some light wear and tear in some places but it’s only noticeable if you look closely.

She’s near mint I’d argue!

Thank you so much!

Aye, I couldn’t agree more! Thank you so much! Doug is truly an amazing guy!

Tell that to my better half!

Happy to help out a young collector navigate the rough shipping waters we currently find ourselves in. Thankfully I had that parcel from Weitze coming anyway so there was no shipping charge to Canada and I was happy to cover the shipping of the cap to the USA for you! That is one of the great aspects of collecting, making and meeting friends who are happy to help a fellow collector out.

still a nice gesture in this collecting world

Dane I have been looking at your display and think that you now need a 2nd cabinet just for soft caps and the like, and one for the helmets! :p

Not a bad idea! I do have it separated by type and what not. Top shelf is for my m15s, second for my civilian items, third for my officer items and bottom for my enlisted.

I really want to get something reserve related. Preferably an officers cap or pickle. Of course the JzP and tschapka, feldmutze and something from Braunschweig.

I’d really like a nice dunklenlau Prussian officers cap to pair with my 1897.

Seems a second shelf is in order!
I have many wants as you can tell
