I know nothing about these, yet am interested in having one on my desk.
Is this one even real?

I have 2 of those boxes in my collection.

This is an original one in my opinion, looked at it and enlarged the picture.
Price is allright for what it is, but here in Europe they are a bit cheaper, but also more plentiful off-course.

In my opinion you should go for it.

Greetings Coert :)

I would be carefull..also this could be an original there are many replicas on ebay for about 10 Pounds :-x
The original box contained a xmas card and different things, like monogrammed boxes of cigarettes, fotographs, lighters, pencil in ammunition-form, etc. (Link: https://www.yorkcastlemuseum.org.uk...ighlights/princess-marys-1914-christmas-gift/
If you only want it for your Desktop just for fun I would buy a copy for 7,99 pounds. But if you want an original I would look for a complete set from a trustful seller.

Looks correct to me. I have oh, 20 of them here. Handy for keeping small Imperial odds and ends in....
