I'm new here, and only been around for a couple of weeks. I'm curious to know when I'll be able to private message other members?

Well, I guess they made it more, as @Cop_Out aleady posted 16 times here on the forum.
Then again,I also do not know the amount of posts before one can use the PM function.
 
Hi - I've checked and the limit was set to 25 messages and registered for 30 days.

Seemed a tad excessive to me so I've gone ahead and changed it to 10 messages which I think is probably reasonable.

@Cop_Out you should be able to PM people now but let me know if you still can't for whatever reason.

Would you PM me please? This is actually @Cop_Out the author of this thread. I had to create a second account to message you here, as I've apparently been locked out of the system. I appreciate your help, sir!

If Joel doesn't respond, as I know he's a busy guy, let me know. I'll send you a PM then, no problem.

@Cop_Out2 , if all works out fine using the PM function, I just sent you one.
Check the little envelope icon right of your user name, it will change. I memory serves me right, a red blob will appear next to it.

Thanks for making the changes Joel and my apologies to Cop Out for the confusion and elimination from membership. We put these limits on as we were flooded by Russian spammers a while back trying to sell their crap. In the past, they were also using PM to contact members.

I'm locked out of my original profile, and I'm still unable to PM. I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused. Mods feel free to delete both of my profiles. I stop back at a future point and try again.

To clarify Coert….you sent PMs to Cop Out and they went through, he received them “? Why was , @b.loree part of this? I would also like to point out that when a forum server is changed as Joel did recently, there are glitches that have to be fixed. We have gone through this before.

I didn't mean you were part of this, but only if you, as an admin could have a look at this. Nothing more, nothing less.

I asked @coert65 to help me communicate with you in order to correct my issues with the system. He was messaging you at my request.

~ Currently I am locked out of the forum with my original profile, "Cop_Out". I cannot send or receive PMS or view forum content.
I receive this message when I attempt to log-in:

~ Consequently, I created a second profile, "Cop_Out2" in an attempt to communicate with moderators to sort out the problems I'm having with my original profile, "Cop_Out". Although I can see forum content with this profile, and I'm able to respond to incoming PMs I cannot initiate a conversation with members or moderators.

~Perhaps we should delete my profiles, and I'll just try joining again?

Ok Thanks for the explanation Tom. Please don't do anything just yet. I will get Joel onto this and see what he can do. Thanks for your patience, we do not want to lose any new members! :) Joel is in the UK so this may take a day.
 
I also do not want to see new members go, but I'm not sure if I venture into something like this again.
I do not like to be told off...
But now I'm sure things will work out fine Tom!
 
Hi @Cop_Out2, sorry about that - I believe I've fixed the issue with your original profile. Can you try again when you have a moment and let me know if it's still misbehaving?
