Here's an opportunity to acquire an iconic and desirable helmet for an affordable price! This is a Prussian EM/NCO Garde du Korps or Garde Kurassier helmet with it's original parade eagle in light weight private-purchase quality. The tombak body is very thin and the lining is a deluxe all leather variety that combines officer's and EM's styles. There are no extra holes in the helmet, or serious damage- just very light surface irregularities that could probably be smoothed out by a brass instrument restorer. When I got the helmet, it had an incorrect pair of silver chin scales, but I believe that all other mounts and fittings are original to this helmet. The shell is marked with the numeral "1" behind the plate, and the bottom of the base of the eagle is marked with the numeral "4"- there are no other markings. The helmet is approximately a size 57. $6000.00 USD takes it away!
