Very nice James. I really like these Wappens with the Battle Honours on the bandeau. If I was taking up the Pickelhaube bug again, I'd concentrate on that area.

What is of interest to me is that some of the rare regiments / Batls with special front plates did have
Feldgrau M1915 plates such as your J B 10 here
While other regiments never had a M1915 Feldgrau plate produced
I know that a study of this was done at one time.
Has anyone seen an M1915 Feldgrau plate for I R 88 ?
What about the rare Grenadier plates ? G R 1 ; 4 ; 7 or 9 ?

Steve, some faceplates never show up in model 15. This is Nassau JR87 and 88 plates, G.R. 1-4-7-9 plates, Hessian lion L.I.R.115, Badois Griffon LGR109 and a few others ...like Reuss or Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt for exemple. Ditto, never a Reserve-Landwehr eagle in iron-grey.
And then, one day, at a flea market, or an arms fair... an M15 lion, in gray iron, but 117!!
