Prussian “Attila” uniform and fur coat for a non-commissioned officer / member of the Leibgarde Hussars in the Leib Squadron.
Belonged to a two-year volunteer. The Attila is made of deep red fabric with yellow lacing, gilded rosettes, and extra toggles; the collar and sleeves feature yellow guard braid with red threading; on the shoulders are the cords for enlisted men with volunteer cord; buttons of the Life Guard Squadron; lined with red silk; worn condition with a few damages as shown
Also included is the dark blue fur dolman with matching shoulder cords and buttons. Private, extra-fine fur trim, which has some missing sections. One moth hole in the neck area. Everything shows signs of age; some buttons were re-sewn in the 1960s. Missing buttons in the jacket pocket.
I purchased this ensemble myself from an old estate, and the family name is known.
