Prussian Cavalry Officer's horse equipment

I've been collecting various pieces of equipment that could be found on the horse of a Prussian cavalry officer. My favorite pieces are a parade shabraque for an officer of the 12th Hussar Regt, and the throat strap for an officer of the 16th Hussar Regt. Guard star that would appear on the parade-sharaque of a guard officer.

Saddle blanket used by Prussian Cavalry officers starting in 1890. On the rider's right side is a pocket for carrying maps and on the left a strip of leather to prevent the sword scabbard from rubbing against it. This one is in pretty rough shape.IMG_3790_50.jpgIMG_3793_50.jpg
