Prussian Cloth-Covered Filzhelme Ersatz M1895 ?

I'm pretty sure you guys have already spotted this one...
I've tried to compare it with Tony's M1895 specimen but the pictures are suspiciously bad... For instance, I can't tell if the metal fittings are golden/brass making it an M1895 or grey/steel (M1915 if these ever existed in cloth-covered versions)...

According to seller, it seems the spike & base are made of a 'grey looking metal' while the rest of the fittings seem brass to him.
An M1895 made of parts in my opinion...
 
It good well be a helmet assembled from various parts and moreover I don't trust the liner either. Not worth a bid in my opinion.
