The chinstrap is dry and hard and the Reichcocarde is a bit chipped ,other than that, a handsome and flawless helmet.

The XV. Armeekorps was led by Berthold von Deimling ,a.k.a „Schlächter von Ypern“

Yes I know Karel, I really should get rid of it, but I don’t think I should give it to someone who already has more than 300 of these . :laughing6:
 
Excellent, and complete, very hard to find them in that condition any more! Un issued perhaps? Great markings. I will check our list to see if we have that maker.

:o Just describing the state of the helmet .If it really bothered me I could have easily replaced it by a better example, I still have a few originals lining around that I picked up on the fleamarket .
