Nice Pickelhaube! Interesting that the helmet used to have a "Kreuzblatt" spike, and the holes have been nicely plugged, so it looks like a reworked helmet, imo probably done during the war. Are there any readable markings on the rear visor? On the Kokarden I can only comment that I don't like the light-coloured rust without any patina, often seen on "aged" repro items, no proof that they are repro though.

Thank you Lars for your feedback, no no other markinks.

Yes you're right, that's the reason I mentionned them.
holes have been nicely plugged
does it mean that the former plate was probably guilded ?

To me it seems that the helmet was repaired, and made into an M15 by a Bekleidung Instandsetzungs amt. Also known as BJA, or BIA.
The spelling differs on some helmets. This means that the helmet was an M95 before, got repaired, meaning the holes for the Kreuzblatt plugged, and M15 grey fittings added on, before sending it back in the field again, for further service in the war. So yes, the former plate was probably guilded. I have a Hessen M15 which was repaired just like it, holes plugged up nicely, and sent back for further use. It does have a BJAXVIII stamp on the rear visor though. Which doesn't mean yours is incorrect, they had to work fast in those day's, so stamps aren't that obvious.
A nice helmet! I do think the kokarden are aged replica's, but they do look nice. I also have some helmets with them on.
