Prussian Garde M15

Just arrived today in the mail, I have been looking for a good well marked one of these for awhile. Need to clean off the dust and old bugs inside, replace the bad chinstrap and I am set.

Has faint makers marked stamped inside, the maker is Franz Cobau berlin.

Also well marked into the leather on the back visor, K.B.A.G. 1916.

I beleive this is Kreigs-Bekleidungsamt des Gardekorps, or War clothing depot of the Garde Corps.

Hi you guy's. I thought I'd chime in with mine. I don't think it ever had the star on the front so I decided to leave as is. It's the normal 'KBAG' marking and in beautiful condition. It has brass grommets too. I know the photography doesn't quite cut it!!

Chas's marking beats all I've seen. I remember the battle for this one Chas, I think you got a good one there!

And congratulations James - it looks good!
