Prussian Guard Inf. EM M1915 Pickelhaube

NEIN?!
(It's a good thing I didn't ask about repainting the spike with some good old Premier gray paint from Canadian Tire then! )

That would probably be OK:)

I'm with Tony, leave the helmet ALONE! LEAVE IT AS IT IS! Don't oil the liner, don't oil anything to be kind to it. Keep it off of styro wig heads, keep it out of the sun and don't paint it.... if you do, the helmet will lose much of its value.
Find a nice stand for it, such as an old glass tumbler or wine glass if you don't have non-acidic display items. If you can keep it off of the visor and neck guard, you'll be doing great.
It's a great helmet, so leave it as it is. :)

Tony's site has some great care suggestions.

:D Ron

Agreed!
I'll just wipe the dust off it and take lots of pics...
As for Tony's care tips; I've had these printed and binded a while ago for regular reference (I was joking about the paint of course!).
