Prussian guard M17

Hello all,

I was admiring my Si66 M17 and happened to notice a detail I hadn't seen before. A stamp at the top of the helmet reading B1341 I havent seen this on other helmets before but I suppose I was never looking for it either. Does anyone know what it would mean?

It's just the batch number. Certain markers have them while some don't

Why is it a Prussian Garde ?

Steve you can see the remnants of the guard black/white Garde Division shield to the right of the forehead shield lug.

I have seen them in that location on other helmets before

That's the typical location. To the right of the lug.

In the 1920s the Reichswehr began placing the hand painted shields centered below the lug.
